Why did you decide to give CrossFit a try?
My husband Alan started first and complained of always being sore so I decided to give it a try….
What was your athletic background before starting CrossFit?
I have always been an athlete, primarily snowboarding, basketball, martial arts and yoga.
What changes in your health, physique, and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit?
I just feel better…If I miss a few days I don’t feel good. I am addicted.
What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit?
Don’t compare yourself to others, and don’t go too big, too fast. The WODs kick your butt even if you go light.
What is your favorite and least favorite CrossFit exercises / movement?
My favorite is walking lunges, my least favorite is running.
What is your most memorable CrossFit moment so far? I really enjoyed doing the Murph over Memorial Day.
What do you like to do outside of CrossFit?
My whole world is my family outside of CrossFit and my job.
What is your favorite “cheat” food or meal?
Peanut butter and chocolate ice cream
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
My dream is to open a wellness center by the ocean…
Who or what inspires you the most?
I am inspired by people that pursue their passion and ignore the fear along the way….
What is one goal you would like to accomplish through CrossFit?
I want to learn double unders REALLY bad….
