How old / young are you? 48 What is your occupation? Business and Life Strategist When did you join Widespread Fitness? February 2022 Why did you decide to give Widespread Fitness a try? Because I wanted to get in shape and I heard from a friend how Kari helped her with nutrition and she lost weight. What was your athletic background before starting? In the past I have worked with personal trainers but had gotten away from it. I am now training with Kari 1:1 as well as meeting her for nutrition and I feel good!!! What changes in your health, physique, and overall performance have you seen since starting? My body is getting slimmer. I am getting stronger. And I have a better mindset about food. I now see food as fuel. Kari has helped me to focus on eating well for not only loosing weight but for my energy, mind and spirit. She is such a blessing! What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting? If you are afraid to jump into the CrossFit group classes, starting with 1:1 training is a wonderful place to start. I have yet to do a group class, but find I am building my strength weekly so that might be in my future. What is your favorite and least favorite exercises / movement? Can’t believe I am saying it but cardio…so rowing, jumping rope are my favorites now because my strength isn’t where I want it yet. Least Favorite moves – the ones that seem simple but kick you’re a_ _. What is your most memorable moment so far? I can say anything to Kari. I can be really honest, cry and she is there for me not judging my actions but being there to give me support on this journey to health. What do you like to do outside of the gym? Love to spend time with my Daughter Milly (12) and my Husband Adam. I love working with my clients 1:1 on helping them move from being a “workaholic” to finding balance in their business, life and self. I love to cook, read and walk outside. I especially love to do things with friends, laugh and have a good time! What is your favorite “cheat” food or meal? Pizza with a glass of wine. What is something people would be surprised to know about you? I love 80’s rap. Who or what inspires you the most? My daughter. As soon as she entered the world I realized I AM PLAYING TOO SMALL. I want to be with her more so I leveled up and continue to work on me to be MY BEST. I want her to be inspired by her Mom and realize anything is possible. What is one goal you would like to accomplish?Become fit again.
