How old / young are you? 38 What is your occupation? Accountant When did you join Widespread Fitness? May of 2022 Why did you decide to give Widespread Fitness a try? I liked the idea of a smaller gym and class sizes. Also liked that the gym is clean and organized. All the athletes are friendly, nice, and supportive. The coaches are always very helpful and provide plenty of insight. What was your athletic background before starting? Self training and I’ve done some crossfit classes before What changes in your health, physique, and overall performance have you seen since starting? I’ve noticed significant changes in overall strength and I’m more muscular and gaining muscle weight What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting? Keep consistent and develop a routine. Do not cheery pick workouts and always attend the class regardless of the workout. I usually wont look at the workout before, so I don’t know what I’m getting into until it’s too late What is your favorite and least favorite exercises / movement? Least favorite is Wall Balls since they spike my heart rate. Favorites are deadlifts, floor press, and pull-ups What is your most memorable moment so far? The open workouts and comrade have been enjoyable and memorable so far. Another memorable workout a was 150 wallballs (it felt like 1000) and 75 cleans. I got through 130 wallballs and 55ish cleans and thought I was going to die, but didn’t, ha! It felt good to be done and alive and I was glad I didn’t look at the workout before I got to that class. What do you like to do outside of the gym? Anything outdoors since I spend most on my time indoors working. My favorite activities are golfing, fishing, camping, skiing, hiking, reading books, painting, paddle boarding, cooking What is your favorite “cheat” food or meal? McDonalds is my #1 weakness What is something people would be surprised to know about you? I’m a poker shark and also know my way around a craps table. I’m also an artist and have done hand painted glass. Who or what inspires you the most? My dad, he was diagnosed with cancer April 2021. He went though rounds of chemo and radiation and had a major, and successful, surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. He’s been cancer free since and has made a significant recovery. It’s incredibly important to get annual bloodwork, otherwise it would have gone unnoticed. My 2-year-old daughter Andi also inspires me, she’s extremely fearless and outgoing, which are 2 things I need to work on myself  What is one goal you would like to accomplish? To do a strict pull-up unassisted, also to work on double unders
