How old / young are you? 44 What is your occupation? Accountant When did you join Widespread Fitness? December 2021 Why did you decide to give Widespread Fitness a try? I wanted to be strong and I had never tried this type of workout before so I thought I’d give it a shot. Turns out I liked it! What was your athletic background before starting? I threw shot put and discus in high school and then just casually did fitness classes and running and swimming on my own over the years. What changes in your health, physique, and overall performance have you seen since starting? I have been able to lift more than I expected and I have seen my strength outside the gym as well. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting? All the exercises can be scaled to whatever your ability so just jump right in! What is your favorite and least favorite exercises / movement? My favorite is probably deadlifts and my least favorite is probably burpees. What is your most memorable moment so far? The day I deadlifted 160lbs. That was really unexpected! What do you like to do outside of the gym? I like to go camping and travel as much as possible to places I have never been. What is your favorite “cheat” food or meal? Chocolate and wine! What is something people would be surprised to know about you? I ran a half marathon in 2012. Who or what inspires you the most? My daughter, Olivia. She is cool, confident, determined, funny and honest. She stands up for herself even when it is hard, and she inspires me to do the same. What is one goal you would like to accomplish? I would like to enjoy running again. It used to be like therapy for me and I could run for an hour without even realizing it. I want to get back to that level again.
