How old/young are you? 42 What is your occupation? Tech Entrepreneur When did you join Widespread Fitness? Early 2019 Why did you decide to give Widespread Fitness a try? I wanted to get back in shape so I have more energy to play with my kids. What was your athletic background before starting? I was a professional Badminton player (Yes, you read that right 🙂 please play Badminton professionally) What changes in your health, physique, and overall performance have you seen since starting? I have more energy now and my health has improved overall. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting? I keep hearing from many of my friends that CrossFit hard and all we do is lift weights. I think this is a big misconception. I highly encourage people to just jump in and try for a few days. What is your favorite and least favorite exercises/movement? Back squats (Fav) Sled push (least Fav – The moment I see that there is Sled push, my legs start to give up :-)) What is your most memorable moment so far? The first CrossFit Open that I participated in. What do you like to do outside of the gym? Spend time with my family and hiking. What is your favorite “cheat” food or meal? Crumbl Cookies. I just cannot stop eating. We buy 4 cookies once a month, 1 for me, 1 for my wife, and 1 each for my 2 kids. I end up eating 3 and a half 🙂 What is something people would be surprised to know about you? I am a farmer’s rights activist. Who or what inspires you the most? My father. What is one goal you would like to accomplish? I would like to RX in the next CrossFit Open!
