When did you join Widespread Fitness?

Why did you decide to give Widespread Fitness a try?
I wanted to get back into a better routine of working out. I also push myself more when there are coaches yelling at me 😉 It’s been great, I’m so glad we joined Widespread!
What was your athletic background before starting?
I have always enjoyed exercising and have done many different sports throughout my life. I played tennis growing up and prior to getting back into Crossfit I had been running and cycling.
What changes in your health, physique, and overall performance have you seen since starting?
Since starting, I have seen a noticeable improvement in my overall health and physique. I have more energy, my endurance and strength have increased, along with increased mobility.
What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting?
My advice would be to take it one step at a time. Set realistic goals for yourself, and don’t be afraid to challenge yourself or take a break when needed. Focus on consistency.
What is your favorite and least favorite exercises / movement?
My least favorite exercise is overhead squats and I love most cardio movements.
What is your most memorable moment so far?
The Anniversary Competition, it was so much fun!
What do you like to do outside of the gym?
Spending time with my family, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and traveling.
What is your favorite “cheat” food or meal?
Indian Food with lots of naan bread.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I met my husband (Andy) in Spain and we lived in South East Asia for a while before moving to the US.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My kids; they have so much energy, in order to keep up with them I need to be in good shape.
What is one goal you would like to accomplish?
Being able to do kipping pullups and get better at double-unders.
