Gymnastics
Handstand Push-ups (3 Sets)
First week of gymnastics endurance work. Today we are doing sub-maximal reps, means stopping 2-3 reps shy of failure. Rest 60 seconds between sets. Athlete choice on style (kipping v. strict). Score will be lowest total across the 3 sets. Scale option (Ab-Mat HSPU) (3 Wall Walks) (Seated DB Shoulder Press)
Pull-ups (3 Sets)
All pull-ups are strict. Change grip with each set:
Set #1 – Wide Grip, Overhand
Set #2 – Shoulder Width, Supinated
Set #3 – Close Grip, Supinated
Rest 60 seconds between sets. Score will be lowest total across the 3 sets. Scale Option (Partner Assisted) (Ring Rows)
Metcon
Metcon (AMRAP – Rounds and Reps)

The goal of today’s metcon is 80-85% effort for all rounds. Start with a pace that you know you can maintain and work on maintaining that for the entire 12 minutes. DB Snatch rep count is total (5 each arm) and should be light.
