How old / young are you? I am 29 years old. What is your occupation? Administrative Assistant/Tax Preparer at a CPA firm When did you join Widespread CrossFit? May 2016 Why did you decide to give CrossFit a try? My fiancé, had been doing CrossFit and he finally talked me into trying it out. What was your athletic background before starting CrossFit? Growing up, I was very active, volleyball was my absolute favorite. I dedicated any and all my time to sports up until graduating high school. I was ready for a break from sports and am so happy that CrossFit has given me back that team work-out feeling again :)! What changes in your health, physique, and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit? I can tell a huge difference in how I feel in general when I am in a routine schedule in class, it seems like something is off if my schedule gets messed up. I definitely have more muscle and enjoy seeing the changes in how clothes fit! I can tell my strength and endurance are improving with every WOD. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit? Just give it a try… It may seem uncomfortable and terrifying to start, but it is so rewarding! The Whiteboard helps you motivate yourself to be better than you were the day before. There is no substitute for the community that is Widespread, everyone is so welcoming and supportive! What is your favorite and least favorite CrossFit exercises / movement? My favorite exercises are Deadlifts, Back Squats and Double Unders. Least favorites are Overhead Squats, Thrusters and Running! What is your most memorable CrossFit moment so far? The Open was the most memorable in general, it was just great every week to see everyone come together. What do you like to do outside of CrossFit? Date nights and summer BBQ’s and cocktails with friends and family! What is your favorite “cheat” food or meal? Pretty much anything that can be considered a cheat food; Top three would be tacos, Cool Ranch Doritos and Sushi!! What is something people would be surprised to know about you? I really, really love sharks!!! Who or what inspires you the most? I’m so inspired by my fiancé (Neil) and his best friend (Andrew) as they decided to start their own business in the beginning of the year. They both had visions and goals for their future and have done a great job executing them! What is one goal you would like to accomplish through CrossFit? I want to continue to get stronger so I can RX workouts and get PR’s and look awesome on the beach!
