How old / young are you?
What is your occupation?
I’m a stay-at-home-parent and volunteer for a variety of local non-profits.
When did you join Widespread Fitness?
I joined in April of 2023
Why did you decide to give Widespread Fitness a try?
I realized that I couldn’t keep up with my kids and was feeling tired all the time. I met Kari and decided to try to the on-ramp program to see if it was something that might stick.
What was your athletic background before starting?
I danced and ran track in high school. I’ve run a few 5k and 10Ks and enjoy snowboarding.
What changes in your health, physique, and overall performance have you seen since starting?
I’ve gone down a clothing size and noticed I am more toned. I have a lot more energy and have even been able to beat my son racing outside!
What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting?
The on-ramp was a really great way to start. Matt and Kari are both really supportive and encouraging and fun – which makes coming to the gym fun!
What is your favorite and least favorite exercises / movement?
I discovered that I really like the rower. My least favorite is a tie between burpees and the assault bike.
What is your most memorable moment so far?
The huge difference in my pace and energy when I did the running program.
What do you like to do outside of the gym?
Travel, read, spend time with family and friends. Eat.
What is your favorite “cheat” food or meal?
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m a licensed attorney but stopped working when my son was born.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My kids inspire me to be a better role model.
What is one goal you would like to accomplish?
To lose another clothing size
